How to avoid getting your eyes dilated at your next eye exam

It's safe to say no one likes to get their eyes dilated when they go in for their eye exam. That's why OPTOS or OPTO Map Imaging is such good news for our patients!

OPTOS allows us to see the back of your eye and make sure it is completely healthy without having to dilate your eyes! Hooray! So what's the catch? There isn't one. It's really simple and it doesn't hurt at all. You just lean forward towards the OPTOS machine and we'll snap a picture of the back of your eye. That's it!

Unfortunately, not everyone can avoid dilation. There are certain conditions where the OPTOS won't work. To learn more and see what you can expect at your next eye exam, click the link below to watch Dr. Kovacs explain.
